About Us

  • Introducing our team

    • Chace

      • Chace grew up in Orange County, and eventually moved out to Denver for college, where he met George senior year. He is currently residing in Indian Hill. His passion for cooking comes from his mother and time spent in Costa Rica. Chace strives to promote healthy and happy values in the kitchen.

    • George

      • George was born in Mongolia, plays rugby (with Chace, GO QC!), emigrated into the US to Fairfax, Virginia at 7 years old. He is a U.S. Army Veteran, currently living in Denver. George loves keeping cooking simple and enjoyable, and sharing meals and creating memories with your loved ones is his mission through this channel.

  • Introducing our brand

    • Our brand, The Simple Staples, is centered around the idea of making an entire cookbook using a fixed list of ingredients. We chose 36 barebone ingredients composed of pantry items and fresh food, to represent what we feel are the straight up essentials to the food we love. Each recipe only contains ingredients from our list, which means many of the dishes we prepare are modified from their original iterations. The 36 ingredients we chose allow us to represent our modified dishes from different cultures around the world, which is as fun as it is delicious.

  • What to expect from our channel

    • Our channel will consist of short form and (eventually) long form recipe videos, cook off competitions, scrap kitchen videos, instructional videos, and discussions on the history of each of our 36 ingredients. The simplicity we refer to comes from having a fixed number of ingredients, although the recipes themselves range in complexity. The original idea for The Simple Staples comes from the idea that someone who doesn’t know how to cook won't have to worry about what to buy at the store, they just have to know how to find our recipes. Anyone who can go out and buy the 36 ingredients, will be able to cook our recipes, even if some take a couple tries to perfect. No matter your cooking skill level, you can still use this channel to conjure up something tasty in the kitchen without the stress of planning out your meals.

  • What is coming in the near future and far future?

    • To start off the channel, we will first be posting an introduction video on YouTube, Instragram, and Tiktok. After that, we have a few recipe videos, a couple scrap kitchen videos, and a cookoff challenge. Additionally, we will be posting pictures of our work and other content on Pinterest. For all our friends here in Colorado reading this, there will be a hard launch party coming up in the future, so stay tuned!
