Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium white onion
- 3 vine ripe tomatoes
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp Vegan Ghee*
- salt & pepper
First, dice the onion and preheat 2 tablespoons of The Simple Staple's vegan ghee in a pan.
While the ghee is preheating, dice the tomato. Get the onions cooking in the pan with salt and take out the ground beef.
After the onions start sweating, get the ground beef in the pan and break it up. Once the beef and onion are mixed together, add the tomatoes, salt again, and cover with a lid for 15 minutes.
Now that those 15 minutes are up, uncover the lid to add our spices. Mix all the spices into the ingredients in the pan then cover for another 20-30 minutes. The longer the better.
Finally, add 1/4 of water and let that cook down for another 3-5 minutes. Eat it as is or serve over rice, but most importantly, enjoy!
