Vegan Ghee Recipe

After several requests from family and friends, here is our vegan ghee recipe! This is perfect for all our non-dairy folk out there who want to make our recipes (or any other recipes), but don't use butter. We know that technically, Apple Cider Vinegar is not one of our 36 ingredients. However, we felt it was justified to bring you a butter/ghee substitute that is healthier than any option in store.


This vegan ghee recipe is super simple and easy to make. Let's get cooking!


Ingredients:

- 1 cup coconut oil

- 2 tbsp avocado oil

- 1/3 cup coconut milk

- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

- 1 tsp salt

- 1 tsp turmeric (for color)


First, get out a blender or food processor, and put in 1 cup of liquid coconut oil and 2 tbsp avocado oil.


In a separate bowl, whisk together the coconut milk and apple cider vinegar. Pour that in with the oils.


Finally, add the salt and turmeric. Blend the mixture until the yellow color looks consistent throughout.


Store in the fridge until solid, or put it in the freezer if you want to use it sooner. We had it in the freezer for around 90 minutes. Enjoy!
